The Bombardier Global 5000 provides ample seating for up to 19 passengers and has a maximum range of 4,800 nautical miles. Capable of flying intercontinental distances at high speed, it can transport clients from Moscow to New York, Johannesburg to Geneva, and Sao Paulo to Madrid.

More about the Global 5000

A smaller, faster, and shorter-range version of the Global Express, the Bombardier Global 5000 was released as the “world’s fastest” ultra-long-range business jet. It is a valuable option for travelers who want the reliability and comfort of the Global Express, but do not require as much range, though it still has an impressive intercontinental range of 4,800 nautical miles. In addition, the 500 has a very large and comfortable cabin.

Key Features of the Global 5000

The Global 5000 is capable of carrying up to 19 passengers in a high-density seating arrangement. It boasts impressive interior cabin dimensions of 37′ 4″ length, 8′ 2″ width, and 6′ 2″ height, providing excellent freedom of movement and standing room in a total cabin volume of an exceptional 1,881 cubic feet. Standard amenities include a full-sized galley, a Rockwell Collins Cabin Electronics System (CES), wireless phones, and a scanner/fax machine combination to maximize productivity in the air. An improved window design allows for ample natural lighting and state-of-the-art sound insulation keeps the cabin as quiet as possible.

Performances of the Global 5000

The Global 5000’s superb range and excellent performance characteristics are thanks to its powerful Rolls-Royce Deutschland BR710A2-20 turbofans, which each generates a staggering 14,750 pounds of thrust. While flying at .85 Mach, the Global 5000 can travel ranges of up to 4,800 miles. For shorter distances, the aircraft can fly up to .89 Mach. It has a very impressive take-off range for a business jet of its size, requiring only 5,000 feet at maximum take-off weight. Finally, it can climb to altitudes of 43,000 feet in just 23 minutes. The Global 5000 utilizes Honeywell Primus 2000XP avionics, which provides operators with maximum control and awareness during flights and maintenance procedures.
